My Career as a Blogger May Be Over

It’s with great disappointment that I am forced to announce that The Drama 2.0 Show may be going offline in the near future. Unfortunately, my activities outside of the technology industry have caught up with me and I have been charged with serious crimes under United States law.

Although I am not currently located in the United States, an associate of mine turned state’s evidence and a significant amount of my liquid assets were frozen last week by the authorities in the country they are located in at the request of multiple United States government agencies which I will not name here.

Who is Sponsoring The Drama 2.0 Show?

The Drama 2.0 Show has a sponsor. It’s a stealth Internet startup not based in Silicon Valley.

Later this month, the sponsor will be announced on The Drama 2.0 Show and I’ll provide an overview of the company, including my honest, unabashed opinion on its service and business. The startup has encouraged me to be candid about any weaknesses and flaws I see, which I, of course, planned to be anyway.

Who Should Be CEO of Facebook?

Mark Zuckerberg needs to go. But who should replace him? I’ve suggested 12 potential successors in my latest post on E-consultancy.com. What do you think?

Drama 2.0 Selling Exclusive Sponsorship

Update: sold.

I recently introduced The Drama 2.0 Show to a friend, and after reading some of my posts, he asked a question: “What are you doing to monetize this?” My response: “Nothing, really. I’m taking an authentic Web 2.0 approach.”

Of course, I do have a pitch for sponsors here, but, as is probably obvious, it was written more as a joke than as a serious attempt to procure dollars. After all, I’ve always believed that the thousands of dollars sponsors (often startups) pay each month for buttons on some of the most popular Web 2.0 blogs is a complete waste of money.

I Gotta Go

Due to a combination of business, the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, family and women, The Drama 2.0 Show will be broadcasting on an abbreviated schedule over the next week and a half.

Thanks to the fantastic typing skills of my sexretary, I will still manage to dictate wonderful posts that will continue to be broadcast daily at E-consultancy.com during the week, so be sure to tune in there.

I’ll be back before you know it.

What’s With All the Love?

What is with the increasing amount of love I’ve been receiving lately? This sort of shit:

Are you reading The Drama 2.0 Show? If not, you should be…The Drama 2.0 Show, which I assume most people interested in Web 2.0 are already reading, doesn’t take that tack. Instead, it focuses on debunking much of the Pollyanne-esque commentary that I think every blog about Web 2.0 sees.

Drama 2.0 is fast becoming one of my favorite blogs…I feel that I kind of love/hate Drama 2.0…like he’s right but would be so fun to bust his balls over stuff…Well done Drama on playing up your pretention just enought to be charming….

Drama 2.0 Looks to Bring Rap Music to Web 2.0

Rap music has a special place in my heart. As a kid, I grew up bumping Run-D.M.C. and my love for the beats (and sometimes the lyrics) has remained. While rap music’s evolution has often sadly mirrored the increasing materialism in society, I must admit that I still listen to it and am often entertained by some of its absurdities.

As most of my readers know, I love parody so I figured it was time to write a Web 2.0 rap song. I decided to do it using one of my recent favorites, the Make it Rain Remix by Fat Joe featuring R. Kelly, Birdman, Lil Wayne, T.I., Ace Mack and Rick Ross.

I’m an E-Consultant

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve joined the team at E-consultancy.com and will be calling E-consultancy.com my new home away from home. Yes, Drama 2.0 will be posting on the E-consultancy.com blog pretty much daily during the business week so be sure to check out my first post here and to tune in regularly for all of my future posts.

Some of my readers might ask “Why E-consultancy.com?” Because E-consultancy.com focuses on Internet marketing and ecommerce, it’s the perfect place for me to take my act since my interests in the Internet, media and marketing go far beyond the walled garden of Web 2.0. I’ll be able to write about a broader range of topics. E-consultancy.com has also been around since 1999, so it’s bubble-tested and Drama-approved.
