Drama Records Signs ‘Lil Crunchy, Responds to First Round Capital’s Shit Dancing
I’m pleased to announce that Drama Records has signed the up-and-coming rapper ‘Lil Crunchy to its roster of recording artists. ‘Lil Crunchy is one of the most promising West Coast hip hop acts to appear on the scene since Suge Knight and Death Row Records put California on the map with 2Pac, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
‘Lil Crunchy hails from the tough streets of Atherton, California, got his start hustling as a corporate thug in the Sonsini crime family and set himself up in business after making his own moves smuggling defective IPOs into the public markets in the late 1990s. He’s now the blogosphere’s quintessential New Media mafioso.
In his first single, “Web 2.0, Where’s Your Money?”, ‘Lil Crunchy and the Pre-IPO Clique call out the First Round Capital crew, who ‘Lil Crunchy believes did a disservice to Silicon Valley thugs everywhere with their recent music video, “Dance for Our Dollaz.”
‘Lil Crunchy has news for First Round Capital: “These bitch ass punks ain’t got what it takes to make major moves in the tech space. Man most of these white boys wouldn’t know a gram from a brick, a B2B play from a B2C play. They bitch made and I gots to set the shit straight.”

Look for the first album from ‘Lil Crunchy and the Pre-IPO Clique, Sand Hill Snow, to hit BitTorrent as a free download in January 2009. It will also be available offline exclusively at Tower Records. It features ill beats including “Web 2.0, Where’s Your Money?”, “White PR Girl”, “If I Can’t (Flip It)”, “Bootstrapin’ These Bitches” and “Birds and Blogs.”
‘Lil Crunchy is a new breed of businessman-turned-recording artist and he’s pioneering an innovative new business model: making big money giving away his music for free.
“These old school rappers don’t know what the fuck they’s doing these days,” he says. “They ain’t heard the marginal cost of music is headed to zero. I want to get my fans hooked on my music like that China White. You feel me? Give them a little bit of my dope rhymes for free and get them fiending for them concerts and merchandise. If my cashflow dry up in the meantime I’ll just hit the block hard and invest in a few startups.”
Drama Records believes ‘Lil Crunchy is poised to redefine hip hop in Silicon Valley and looks forward to turning him into a multi-palladium success story.

Nice post Drama
He will have to compete with these guys

Graham: judging by the amount of sausage in Monzy’s audience, I think he’s competing with Oscar Mayer, not ‘Lil Crunchy.
The Crunchman was pushing hundreds of millions of dollars in IPOs for the Sonsini family before this guy even had DSL.
